Leadership and the Dawn of the New Economy: As the nation tentatively takes its first steps out of the most crushing recession in nearly 100 years, new realities for organizations are emerging with it. These new realities have implications for organizational strategy, start-ups, human systems, education, sustainability, green practices, and ethics here in the United States, as well as across the globe. The manner in which leaders address these new realities will have tremendous implications for the future. Research and conceptual papers which highlight where we are going and the kinds of competencies and aptitudes necessary to get there is what this conference is examining. This conference is particularly interested in papers that fit this theme and may be highlighted in “Showcase Sessions” during the conference.
